With the festive season around the corner, the time’s right for some appropriately-themed limited editions. Case in point: the “Ugly Sweater” Dunk High that marks the second Christmas collaboration between sneaker shop Concepts and Nike SB, and oh boy, does the shoe live up to its name. With a multicolor knit upper, a thousand snowmen and the same number of wrapped presents, it’s a shoe that can’t really be described in words, so take a glance at the release pictures to witness the shoe’s absurdity firsthand. Whoever keeps Nike SB designers from killing themselves can’t possibly be paid enough. We know it’s intentionally ugly, but that’s like saying you’re intentionally going to be waiting in the cold for copping an artistically demanding sneaker. Oh wait, you are. You can buy the Nike SB X Concepts Dunk High TRD QS (Ugly Sweater) both in Bonker's web store and at their shop in Frankfurt from December 7.

For their latest collaborative undertaking, Akomplice joined forces with Synchrodogs, a visceral and raw Ukrainian photography collective. The project marks a marriage between photography and graphic design through the medium of apparel. Together with Synchrodogs, they sought to bring dreamlike qualities to real-life environments. In addition to shooting the photos used for the apparel collection, Synchrodogs also shot the lookbook in their home country of Ukraine.

More than a considered collection, Akomplice delivered another advance towards sustainability with this latest capsule. All black and white tees were made using USA grown organic cotton and were cut, sewn, dyed, printed and finished in the USA, marking a major manufacturing feat.

The collection is now available on our Webstore and at Akomplice retailers worldwide.

See the entire lookbook by heading over to Hypebeast or Office Magazine.

Offered at around $80 USD per pair, this shoe is on the higher end of the skate shoe price spectrum, but then again, it's considerably worth the price given its durability and comfort. It looks like an instant classic. That's why when I find deals online, I took advantage of it like this one from Premier.

The Adidas Busenitz Core Black / White will now cost you only $59. Cool eh? I already bought mine as it's one of my favorite shoes for skate boarding. This shoe elevates the heel placing me more on the balls of my feet. Also, it feels like it's hugging your foot and there is some good padding on the tongue. The suede toe covering is great for flicking and the stitching helps hold its form. The only drawback is that the tongue is not held in place by lateral elastic bands and I frequently have to adjust the tongue every so often while skating. All and all, I love this shoe, and it is definitely good for skating! $59.

Vans and Thrasher Magazine have come together to introduce their new Slip-On Pro Black Skate Shoes. Designed with a canvas upper that's featured with the iconic Thrasher flame logo script across the top. An eccentric pair of footwear that embodies all the classic Slip-On pro details including a UltraCush insole, waffle tread grip, and overall vulcanized construction for optimal board feel. $65.

Everybody runs a business differently. However, there is one common aspect that all businesses need to share; they all need to operate and make money. As easy as this can seem if you have a product that people want, a few small mistakes can see their cash handed over to your competitor.

Below are some of the most common mistakes made when establishing a business for you to avoid.

Start a website

Depending on the type of business you are looking to open, this one might seem obvious. However, for owners looking to start small businesses like a corner store or a local lawn care service (or similar), this seems like an unnecessary action. However, the opposite is true. It doesn’t matter what size of business you are going to open or the type of products or services you sell, you need a website. If you aren’t interested in anything fancy, there are numerous point-and-click options that allow you to easily use templates to create a basic site that includes a general outline of your business, maybe some product photos, and your contact information.

Open Your Reach

There was once a time where consumers started their search at the store they knew had products they liked or at least that store’s website. However, things have changed. Nowadays, more and more consumers are starting their search on third party sites, such as coupon sites. Sites like the Groupon Coupons page for Intuit GoPayment allow businesses to reach an audience before they have begun looking at your competitor's offerings.

Coupons especially have become a popular item of recent times with customers no longer satisfied with paying full price for items, especially those items purchased online. If you run a business online, consider coupons purpose designed to drive customers to your website instead of your brick and mortar store. Conversely, if you are looking to attract customers into your store for impulse item potential, coupons can work the other way, too.

What was the name again?

And what exactly do you do? That is something you never want to hear. However, it is all too common for business owners to choose business names that either make it difficult for a potential customer to remember the name or to choose a name that doesn’t indicate the products or services they offer.

For example, John’s Place or The Local Spot don’t tell potential customers anything about your business or what they can expect should they decide to visit. However, John’s Corner Store or The Local Pizza Place immediately tell customers what you do and whether or not they should visit.

Nobody ever said that starting or running a business was easy, and with so many decisions and processes to go through to establish a business of your own, it can be easy to forget important details or make mistakes, such as the ones listed above.

If you are planning to start your own business, take these tips on board, but above all else, exercise common sense throughout the entire process.

The Nike SB Dunk High Pro 'Gino' Men's Skateboarding Shoe celebrates 15 years of the SB Dunk. In 2002, Gino Iannucci applied his understated palette and exaggerated perforations to a shoe that would become a most-wanted. This revival applies the original look to a high-top silhouette, while delivering the ultra-responsive feel of Nike Zoom cushioning. $110.

Full-length foam cushioning with a Nike Zoom Air unit in the heel offers impact protection and a responsive boardfeel.

A flexible rubber outsole with a forefoot pivot circle delivers powerful grip while helping you more easily change direction.

Leather upper (not patent leather) with durable overlays
Padding on the collar and tongue for comfort
High-top silhouette for ankle support

Originally a classic Nike hoops shoe, the Dunk was organically adopted by skate culture—and in time reengineered for the session by Nike SB. These days, the SB Dunk doubles as a starting point for many of the brand's most influential design collaborators, from small-town skate shops to iconic New York fashion houses.

Nike Dunk Low Returns!

Rubber soles are functional and look pretty f*cking awesome. Whether you skate or not, you're going to want a pair of gum sole sneakers, like these Nike Dunk Lows from Nike.

However, these black and white gum sole Dunks were made for Women, so you better add 1.5 (If you're Size 9 in Men's, you need to order 11.5 in Women's) so you'll get your correct sizes. $90.

If you’re a real Nike SB head raise your hand!

Did you raise your hands? If so, your SB knowledge should be strong. With that said, you know Nike SB has brought back Dunks from the past with a twist.

The latest release is the “Reese Forbes” Wheat Nike SB Dunk Low. This Dunk originally dropped way back in 2002, but now its back this year with a remix - the colorway has been reversed!

Sizes 4-15 are available. $100.

Looking for some new skate shoes? When buying skate shoes, you might get lost in the sea as there are lots of brands, colors, collabs, and prices. Collected here at Skate Shoes PH, we have a list of the top skateboarding shoes out there, for one reason or another. The list may not be the latest - all of these shoes are top quality. We also have skate shoes reviews on the site, to find out more about each shoe - and all have links to the manufacturer's site to buy and read more.

Today, we will talk about Etnies Skate Shoes! Etnies have a bright, quick, sleek look, and a skate team with riders like Ryan Sheckler and Elissa Steamer. Etnies seems to come with wimpy laces, but that's not a good enough reason to not get a pair. Mostly, these Etnies skate shoes work well and last long enough to not tick off your parents or wife when you need to buy another pair as a replacement. Etnies also has great girl's skateboarding shoes, and etnies dumps a lot of money back into the skateboarding community, giving away tons of shoes every year to the homeless in Southern California.
