Running and or Skating may not be the biggest part of our lives right now, but that’s not by choice. A lot of people don’t get enough exercise, and the month-long analysis looked at the statistics of how runners live relative to the general population.
“The results that surfaced from our analysis were eye-opening. It was remarkable to see the profound impact a simple activity like running could have on our society,” said Michael Schinelli, UNC’s associate dean of communications.
Skateboarding on the other hand is good exercise as it works our muscles in the core and the legs. Even crusing a skateboard over distance without attempting creative maneuvers is considered moderate activity and can be great exercise. In fact, you can burn more than 340 calories per hour of skateboarding, and it will keep you skinny and if you do a lot of 180 and 360 variations you will get a 6 pack. Cool eh?
In the Philippines, most people especially those who are not into exercising look at runners as well as skateboarders like they have three heads and have utterly lost their minds when it comes to their determination and dedication to the hobby. But really, if you just tried it — really tried it — you might see why so a lot of people are addicted to this cool sport. Mizuno, a popular running shoe company was thinking along the same lines. They recently paired up with the University of Carolina to answer one really, really important question in the running world: What if everybody ran? The results were impressive. Check details below:
