James Arizumi (Nike SB senior footwear designer ): “Just like skateboarding, everything (back in the day) including our box color and design strategy was done on instinct, and it was always evolving. There was no specific strategy in place around ‘Box Color Eras’ – it was really the community and beyond who started and propelled the concept. That was the beauty of Nike SB back then, we really ‘JUST DID IT.’

Lego Inspired SB Dunk Lows? Why not?

"Everyone loves LEGO no matter how old you are. Every individual has their own story to tell interacting with these interlocking blocks of fun. Handcrafted with pressure points & I.D that encapsulates what Lego is all about…… FUN & PLAY! Same can be said about one of the most influential & iconic Nike silhouettes of all time… the Nike SB Dunk Low."

Encased in a mixture of most supple baby calf suedes, kangaroo, lamb & deer skins, this Nike Dunk SB “Lego” inspired sample will allow genuine Lego pieces to be attached to the tongue tag for some toy & sneaker ‘clout’. Dropping on BespokeIND's web-store www.bespokeind.com.au this Sunday 16th June 9:00pm EDT New York (GMT -4) or Monday 17th June 11:00am Melbourne Australia AEST.

CPB Customs channels his inner Nigo on the Nike SB Dunk Low “Bape Camo” Custom. Using an authentic Bathing Ape camouflage jacket, this custom reconstructs the skateboarders favorite with the Far East outerwear icon.  Ape branding tops off the uppers, with grey tongue and outsole, adding quiet contrast to this custom take. Which shoe makes for the best canvas for shoe customization? Maybe some all white Air Force 1s, a pair of Chucks, or the Adidas superstar? These are the common choices, but after some of the crazy customs we've seen lately, we're leaning towards the Air Jordan 1 "Laser."

Most recently, CPB Customs took the white-and-silver base and gave it a "fragment design" treatment. He absolutely killed these Laser Air Jordan I Customs. It actually looks like the released Fragment I's, with the only thing missing being the fragment lightning bolt branding at the heel.

It's just crazy that Vans has that much generosity to provide us, customers cool customization options. You'll definitely love the fact about how they made their website so interactive and providing it with a new interest and appeal to their customers by allowing us to customize the Sk8-His, Slip-ons, Chukka Lows, Authentics, Old Skools, Authentic Lo pros, and the Eras. Moreover, it's safe, secure, fun, and somewhat artsy.

And since I love their chukka lows due to its stylish low-profile silhouette and vulcanized construction, I created my own version and the result for me is awesome. Check it out! I call it, Vans Chukka Low Cork Custom.

The legit pair of Nike MAGs will cost you around $6,000 on eBay. Not everyone can afford to buy a pair or pay for those wild price point, and someone has taken this issue into his own hands. Meet Brad Fyfe, a member of the Replica Prop Forum who's dedicated to recreating memorabilia items from movies, TV shows, and more. Fyfe is a huge Back to the Future fan is buying Mag replicas and transforming them to look more like the real thing. His upgrades include a more accurate LED arrangement, a reshaped toe, and new paint for the midsoles. Most sneakerheads wouldn't go near a pair of Chinese knockoffs, and we're certainly not condoning it, but Fyfe's works is nonetheless an interesting take on how to obtain a shoe that's otherwise pretty expensive. Of course for those who won't spend thousands of dollars to get the legit MAGs on eBay and aren't into this whole prop customizing thing, do remember that the Nike MAG 2015 with power laces is coming back out this year.
