Neckface has collaborated with Nike SB before, working on a Nike SB Blazer and a Nike SB Dunk High that released in 2013. The LA-based graffiti artist and skater now takes on the Nike SB Dunk Low.

Neckface's signature macabre artwork is on full display, with patches placed across the shoes' black upper. Skulls, demons, tombstones, bats, and snakes are just some of the creepy motifs that can be found allthroughout the shoe. Other details include lightning graphics and “SHOCKERS” across the back of the heel on the left shoe’s midsole, hellish flame graphics on the insoles, a white mini Swoosh on the lateral ankle collar, and custom tongue tags.

Run the Jewels, also known by the initials, RTJ, is an American hip hop duo composed of, El-P and Killer Mike! They have teamed up with Nike SB to release the collaborative Nike SB X Run The Jewels Dunk Low!

The Nike SB X Run The Jewels Dunk Low comes constructed in a leather build featuring a Sky Blue base with Pink Nike Swooshes. Other details include RTJ’s hand gun and fist logos on the heels with the date 4/20 hidden on the Zoom bags of the insoles. One of them reads, “JAIMILY 2010” - El-P’s real name, Jamie Meline, and his wife Emily Panic, who began dating on that date. The other insoles references to Killer Mike’s birthday, 4/20/75.

To promot and help the cause, Nike SB has teamed up with him to release a special edition SB Dunk Low that will be a large part of this year’s fundraising efforts.

The Why So Sad? x Nike SB Dunk Low features a Light Blue leather base and mesh tongues with Dark Blue tear-away swoosh overlays to reveal Yellow underneath. There's an embroidered skateboarding chicken motif on the lateral heel, co-branded insoles with graphic of a bird doing a sad grab, “Why So Sad?” branding on the inner tongue tag, and question marks embroidered on the heel tabs. A White midsole atop a translucent outsole completes the overall design.

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of these Nike SB X Why So Sad Dunk Lows, with art by Jon Horner, will go directly to the WhySoSad? fundraising efforts.

Why So Sad? is a part of OG skater @ratt_ray grassroots campaign exploring psychology, health and suicide prevention in and around skateboarding. It’s an ongoing effort to find a light path into what can be an intimidating subject. The question in the title is a play on some old skate-trick names: The sad plant, melancholy (melon or sad) grab, and I recently realized that the “mayday” is a relevant one too. Part of the point is that that question, ‘Why So Sad?’ seems simplistic and almost flippant—like it’s making fun of the subject. But in fact, we’re not making fun, the point is to ask, “What if we take that question seriously? Where does that exploration lead us?

The Nike Air MAG is the shoe most of you guys will think of if I say "Back to the Future shoes," but don't forget about the Nike Bruin that Michael J. Fox wore as Marty McFly in the first film in the Back to the Future trilogy.

Originally introduced back in 1972 and seen on the feet of McFly in the original Back to the Future, NikeLab re-released the Bruin 'Marty McFly’ way back in October 21, 2015 (the date Marty McFly and Doc traveled to in Back To The Future II — marks “Back To The Future Day”). Are we to expect another release this year? We'll just have to wait and see in the coming days. Vaporwave skateboarding is an art movement which emerged among the internet this fluidity there are common themes of counterculture, uncanny presentation of the past and future, and a particular nostalgia towards somewhere in time around the last fifth of the 20th century.

Sonically, vaporwave is commonly constructed around manipulation of samples, sometimes minimalist and other times entwined in original instrumentation, in a plunderphonic manner. Typical sample sources can include television broadcasts (specifically "weather channel music" or commercials from around the world), formally-released music from the '80s and '90s (pop, lounge, jazz and "elevator music" being typically associated with the genre), and even video game soundtracks. Visual styles usually follow suit of the samples themselves, combining a retro-revitalization idea with current-day netart. This combination of modern, retro-inspired and "true retro" concepts allows for a wide variety of interpretations musically and thematically. Uniquely, the genre is more of a philosophic approach to music than a rigid set of principles.
