It’s been around 13 years since the streetwear vet, Jeff Staple released its first collaboration with Nike SB, a pair of Dunks that
caused riots among sneakerheads. The shoe was met with significant fanfare and has caused mass hysteria in the New York area. In fact, several arrests were made, and the release made the front cover of the post.
Flash forward 12 years, they released the Black Pigeons. It is a black and bright red version that features the same iconic Pigeon logo on the heel.
This 2019, it is said that they will be releasing a “Black & White” edition of the same shoe. A notable sample of this shoe was spotted at ComplexCon last month, being worn by Jeff Staple.
Just today, he teased us with a pixelated photo of the approved "Pigeon" SB Dunk sample on
Instagram which is kinda look like the sample that was said to be scrapped because it resembled a panda more than a pigeon.
Stay tuned as more information becomes available regarding this 2019 Staple x Nike SB project.
Update: December 25, 2018
New images of the Staple Pigeon x Nike SB Black & White 2019 surfaced online! It looks like Nike SB and Staple are giving these away to their friends this Christmas. Shane O Neil and Eric Koston are some of the few recipients. In case you were wondering what the bottom of the new @jeffstaple @staplepigeon dunk is, check the third image below.
