It's just crazy that Vans has that much generosity to provide us, customers cool customization options. You'll definitely love the fact about how they made their website so interactive and providing it with a new interest and appeal to their customers by allowing us to customize the Sk8-His, Slip-ons, Chukka Lows, Authentics, Old Skools, Authentic Lo pros, and the Eras. Moreover, it's safe, secure, fun, and somewhat artsy.

And since I love their chukka lows due to its stylish low-profile silhouette and vulcanized construction, I created my own version and the result for me is awesome. Check it out! I call it, Vans Chukka Low Cork Custom.

Vans has decorated their iconic Authentic skate shoes with a cork patterned upper. While genuine cork has been used in the fabrication of sneakers already like the Lebron's, Janoski's, and Airmax's, Vans instead opt for a sturdy cork patterned canvas upper for durability and breathability, paired with a clean white sole and laces. Other salient features include metal eyelets and signature waffle outsoles. Head over to the Vans web shop to cop and see why the Authentic is one of the best skate shoes of all time. $55.

Since the Nike LeBron X Cork's release two years ago, we’ve becoming increasingly comfy with the idea of having this corky material as a main component on our shoes. That being said, it’s still a cool design choice that Nike keeps making.

We have seen Air Max 90s, Dunk SB Highs, and now we can add the Nike SB Janoski to the list.

No release and price info yet, the Nike SB Janoski “Cork” is set to break some neck and boards. An almost entirely cork upper is tempered by black swoosh, and a white rubber sole, ensuring that the cork is the design take away from the shoes. We just hope that it has cork insoles in them.

Take a look and stay tuned for more updates on this upcoming Nike SB Janoski Cork

Cork seems to be invading all of our favorite Nike shoe models, and that is ok.

Nike has utilized cork materials on their popular models including Lebron's shoe, air max, and this cork colorway of the Nike SB Dunk High.

Last January, we featured a dope Nike SB Dunk High Cork custom by JBF Custom. It has sparked a lot of attention which is probably why Nike decided to create their own version for us SB heads.

Not much has changed really between Nike's creation and the custom. It's still entirely made up of the cork material with black suede paneling but instead of the gum sole, Nike SB has replaced it with a white sole. It also has black nubuck accents on the Swoosh and toe box to tone down the cork materials. Overall, the Nike's version is a very clean one and should be on anyone's radar. But then again, I still think that the custom is much better as the execution and the details were superb (see images below and compare it to the image above to see the difference).

No word on a release date yet, but stay tuned to SkateShoesPH for any upcoming information.

Yesterday, we wished to make the NikeiD cork option available for the Nike SB Dunks. Guess what? Our wish has been granted by JBF Customs. Check out how he showcases his #MadSkillz in this Nike SB Dunk High “Cork” Custom that wears a corked texture that has some black pieces mixed in and just a little bit of suede and leather. Continue reading to see his masterpiece and then get in touch with JBF Customs if you want a pair for yourself.
