The RB skate shoe by Reef Shoes was released in 1998. Distinctively designed and creatively surf-inspired, these high-quality skate shoes are the S#$t! back in the day! While looking for these shoes online, I stumbled upon these very rare pairs of Reef Brazil RB Dealer Skate shoes on eBay. They are deadstock with tags size 10. Unfortunately no OG box. But quite a great deal for me! $70 Grey/Black Gum | $70 White/Black.

The Duffs Gambler is Matt Hensley's signature shoe. These are very comfortable and durable as they hold up well - thanks to its triple stitching.  It's very well rounded shoe to skate in. It's known for being lightweight, and indeed an OG chunky dad sneaker that's stylish and functional. Other salient features include a classic lacing system, tongue stabilizing straps, full-length sheet EVA midsole, compression molded EVA insole, and gum soles with traditional zigzag tread pattern. These shoes are hard to find these days, but if you're a size 10US and looking for an all-black colorway, you might like this used pair on eBay. $55.

Over the years Osiris Shoes has contributed some of the bulkiest shoe designs to skate shoe history. Osiris hasn’t slowed down one bit either! Check out their latest colorway for the Techniq feature a black and white combo colorway.  It's a bulky and a technical low-top skate shoe that is made with high-quality materials to offer improved board feel and impact resistance. The Osiris Shoes Techniq is indeed a progressive and sophisticated athletic footwear that is completely different from any other. $60.

“When you support a small business, you’re supporting a dream”.

I believe that people behind these artisanal products are passionate and doing what they love and loving what they do. You'd admire their courage to brave the competitive retail scene and their passion to create sturdy skate shoes for Filipino skateboarders.

I was talking about Label Shoe Co. They are the first ever to produce locally-made skate shoes that dominate the skateboarding scene here in the Philippines.

Why? It's simply because....

100% Philippine Made Skateboarding Shoe
For Skateboarding by Skateboarders !!!

The brand owners are really pursuing their dreams and it would be nice if we can help them even through small and simple ways.

Hence, below are some of their skate shoes that that deserve your support. Rest assured that your hard-earned cash won’t go wrong with them.

Before Axion Footwear was being made by Circa, it was owned by Kareem Campbell. Way back in 1995 I used to have a Nutek model and I don't know why but they were instantly my favorite skate shoe. I have been looking for these shoes for years but still couldn't find one.

Skateboarding shoe is not really seen by the general public these days unless you buy at Famous brands or other "mall shops" where they carry Vans, Nike, or DC shoes. I have been buying retros (the bulky ones) recently and hoping to buy a pair of these in 9/9.5US. If you have this pair, please hit me up. Enjoy!

By the way, while I was looking for this shoe, I found this gem on Instagram. Still looks new eh? Nice pair __nur_so__!

Check out this highly skateable New Balance Numeric 420. Inspired by the 70's skate shoes, it is made to last with skateboard-ready construction, no-sew synthetic overlays for style, and durability to support on- and off-board use. It also comes with an NBN's REVlite midsole foam that offers a responsive yet lightweight feel. This New Balance Numeric 420 Skate Shoes is on sale at Skate Warehouse for only $80.

Globe Sabre is one of the best bulky skate shoes available in the market today. Dubbed as one of the OG Dad Sneakers,  it's unbeatable when it comes to support and impact protection. It has a design that will outperform other styles, offering skate protection and longevity thanks to the Nitrocel midsole, multiple TPR layers, and a well rounded cupsole construction for high impact support. ~$70.

Sick of slim, boring, vulcanised skate shoes? Yeah, same.

Think back, way back. Do you remember the golden era of skate shoes, when they had just the right amount of padding. Sure, the board feel was a little less, but so were the chances of bruised feet. Actually, who even had bruised feet back in the day?! It just didn't happen.

ERAone Footwear aims to foment change, and revive forgotten styles. For too long, skate shoes have been skinny, and lacking padding, leading to bruised feet and un-stylish gear choices. This must stop.

ERAone will be a combination of reviving forgotten styles, and new tech-explorations.

Check out Eraone Origin, featuring a 400bs rubber outsole, suede uppers (charcoal), padded tongue and collar, triple stitched ollie pad/toecap, and moulded insole with gel heel support, arch support and form patches under arch and ball. $100 AUD.

Just in case you’ve been living under a rock, your shoes are meant for more than just skateboarding these days. Though they are purpose-built footwear designed for skating, they have become a staple in a every man’s (and woman’s, for that matter) wardrobe.

Take for example these Vans Denim shoes. These skate shoes are versatile and can work well with denim, chinos, and shorts of pretty much any color and shade. Shop from the world's largest selection and best deals for VANS Denim Athletic Skate Shoes for Men and Women. Shop with confidence on Vans! ~$40.

Looking for some new skate shoes? When buying skate shoes, you might get lost in the sea as there are lots of brands, colors, collabs, and prices. Collected here at Skate Shoes PH, we have a list of the top skateboarding shoes out there, for one reason or another. The list may not be the latest - all of these shoes are top quality. We also have skate shoes reviews on the site, to find out more about each shoe - and all have links to the manufacturer's site to buy and read more.

Today, we will talk about Etnies Skate Shoes! Etnies have a bright, quick, sleek look, and a skate team with riders like Ryan Sheckler and Elissa Steamer. Etnies seems to come with wimpy laces, but that's not a good enough reason to not get a pair. Mostly, these Etnies skate shoes work well and last long enough to not tick off your parents or wife when you need to buy another pair as a replacement. Etnies also has great girl's skateboarding shoes, and etnies dumps a lot of money back into the skateboarding community, giving away tons of shoes every year to the homeless in Southern California.

I received an email recently asking for the comfiest skate shoes?

"Can you suggest a really comfy skate shoes?

I go through skate shoes around 3-5 months now no matter what brand.

I don't mind the technology or the brand as long as it will hold up a little, it is comfy, and it does not look weird.

I tried Nike SB Janoskis, Campus Vulcs, and G6s, but I'm looking for something that's comfier.

The comfiest ones I've tried so far were an old pair of Puma Ss. Since they don't stock them anymore, I might try the suedes.

Any other suggestion?"

Here's my reply:

I think it depends on what makes certain shoes comfy for you...

As for me, I found Lakai vulcs comfortable, but I only wear them to chill since I skate cup sole type of skate shoes.

Supra Skytop III's are also comfy. Vans Half Cabs are extremely comfy as well and so are the AV x Era 1.5's. You might want to try the Vans Geoff Rowley Pro, Vans Chukka Low's, and Vans AVE Natives. I personally like Cupsoles the best but I'll skate Vulc too every now and then depending if I like them or not.

I've heard that the Emerica Reynolds Cruisers and the Lakai Lindens are comfy too. But if you have the budget, why not go for the Nike SB dunk lows, they are simply the coolest comfy skate shoes out there.

The new Nike Dunk Low Pro SB features good board feel, impact protection (yet flexible) and durability.

The legit pair of Nike MAGs will cost you around $6,000 on eBay. Not everyone can afford to buy a pair or pay for those wild price point, and someone has taken this issue into his own hands. Meet Brad Fyfe, a member of the Replica Prop Forum who's dedicated to recreating memorabilia items from movies, TV shows, and more. Fyfe is a huge Back to the Future fan is buying Mag replicas and transforming them to look more like the real thing. His upgrades include a more accurate LED arrangement, a reshaped toe, and new paint for the midsoles. Most sneakerheads wouldn't go near a pair of Chinese knockoffs, and we're certainly not condoning it, but Fyfe's works is nonetheless an interesting take on how to obtain a shoe that's otherwise pretty expensive. Of course for those who won't spend thousands of dollars to get the legit MAGs on eBay and aren't into this whole prop customizing thing, do remember that the Nike MAG 2015 with power laces is coming back out this year.

Vans has decorated their iconic Authentic skate shoes with a cork patterned upper. While genuine cork has been used in the fabrication of sneakers already like the Lebron's, Janoski's, and Airmax's, Vans instead opt for a sturdy cork patterned canvas upper for durability and breathability, paired with a clean white sole and laces. Other salient features include metal eyelets and signature waffle outsoles. Head over to the Vans web shop to cop and see why the Authentic is one of the best skate shoes of all time. $55.
