I'm glad I came across these Globe Sabres, haven't owned a pair of these for years, seems most skate companies and throwing out boring Vulc shoes left and right these days. I like Globe, even more, they brought back the classic "tongueless" design of the Chet IV's, you just slip them on and the airbags/padding hug 360 degrees all around your feet. It's so comfortable, feels almost like you're wearing slippers but they stay on your feet fine regardless of how loose the laces are, exceptionally breathable as well.

Unlike some other Globe styles, the Sabres are true to size. They are very durable!! You can go rock these shoes and wear them into mosh pits and they'd still hold up.  Found this one at Zappos and it's a great deal. It's a new pair of Globe Sabre in Black Gum colorway. Get them now! $76.

If you're in the Philippines, you can have Johnny air buy these shoes for you, I think you'll pay an extra 2k to have it shipped to your doorsteps. Or, you may sign-up on Kango Express (a much cheaper option - roughly 1K for a pair of shoes - you'll get a 20% discount also on your first shipment).

P.S. - Put my account number is KX001400 in the Referral Field during the registration process, so I'll get 10$ as a referral :)

Globe Sabre is one of the best bulky skate shoes available in the market today. Dubbed as one of the OG Dad Sneakers,  it's unbeatable when it comes to support and impact protection. It has a design that will outperform other styles, offering skate protection and longevity thanks to the Nitrocel midsole, multiple TPR layers, and a well rounded cupsole construction for high impact support. ~$70.

Globe Sabre is an extremely comfortable solid feeling skate shoe. It's a tank! You'll be very impressed with this pair. I myself tend to like "bulky" shoes and the Sabres do the trick. Honestly, I wish that globe still made the Chet Thomas IV shoes, but these seem to be closest to the design as far as comfort is concerned. These shoes are well built and also feel incredibly solid and durable.

Globe Sabre Features:

  • Ultra heavy duty skate style with step in sock liner
  • Integrated inner sock for a secure fit & ankle support
  • Nitrocel airbag sole for impact control
  • Globe's S-Trac for ultimate grip and flex

I would highly recommend these to anyone who likes the bulky shoes or laments the death of the Chet Thomas IV like me. You can buy these over at Zappos or Ebay.
