Nike SB x eBay Sandy Bodecker Dunk Low We Legedary Release

Way back in 2003, Nike SB took to eBay to auction off a pair of Dunk Lows colored to resemble the online marketplace’s signature logo. All proceeds from the listing — which ended at a final bid of $26,000 — were put to the construction of new skate parks in Portland area. It is said that only a single pair of said shoes were sold, and there are reportedly three in existence, one of which was sawed into four separate parts.

To pay homage to the late Sandy Bodecker, who’s responsible for building up Nike SB to what is today, Nike is literally putting the pieces of the above-mentioned Dunk Low back together. Instead of connecting the segments seamlessly, the team chose to fill in the spaces with a see-through TPU. The rest of the construction is similar to the original colorway, however, representing eBay’s signature red, blue, yellow, and green palette. Moreover, an image of Bodecker himself is printed onto the sockliner of the left foot; the right opts for an on-foot image of the OG, ripped apart eBay Dunk.

On hyped shoes there's also a round of F&F pairs being sent out by the company's marketing team, to get the popular influencers to show off before the official release date and get everyone hyped.

I guess, it's not surprising at all to see these Purple Lobsters on eBay a few days prior to its release. If you want to have them now, you need to shell out $350 :)

Deal of the Day: Globe Sabre Black Gum for only $65!

I'm glad I came across these Globe Sabres, haven't owned a pair of these for years, seems most skate companies and throwing out boring vulc shoes left and right these adays. I like Globe even more, they brought back the classic "tongueless" design of the Chet IV's, you just slip them on and the airbags/padding hug 360 degrees all around your feet. It's so comfortable, feels almost like you're wearing slippers but they stay on your feet fine regardless of how loose the laces are, exceptionally breathable as well.

Unlike some other Globe styles, the sabres are true to size. They are very durable!! You can go rock these shoes and wear them into mosh pits and they'd still hold up. Found this one on eBay and it's a great deal. It's a new pair of Globe Sabre in Black Gum colorway. Get them now! $65.

If you're in the Philippines, you can have Johnny air buy these shoes for you, I think you'll pay an extra 2k to have it shipped to your doorsteps. Or, you may sign-up on Kango Express (a much cheaper option - roughly 1K for a pair of shoes).

Artist Mark Paul Deren, known as Madsteez, is famous for transforming “blank canvases into an acidic voyage of cosmic explosions.” He’s collaborated on shoes with Nike, and created a 2010 World Cup mural for the brand. He also worked for ESPN.com and adorned the wall of the Armada Skis main offices “with a gigantic mural of rapper Eazy-E laying out a backflip.” Ten years ago, the New York Times wrote about how Madsteez were supplying downhill ski equipment with “a more aggressive look inspired by hip-hop, graffiti and punk rock.” In fact, he has done a lot of studio portraits: of Stan Lee, of Carlton, of Vanilla Ice.
