Skate Shoes PH is struggling to keep up with the news and our wallets are struggling to keep up with these awesome Vans releases lately. Next up is something from down under. Perth, Australia's Highs & Lows has a history of releasing highly coveted collaborations and now they are turning their heat onto Vault line.

They chose the Old Skool Zip LX as their base model and transformed it into a sick pair with full grain leather on the vamps and heel counters, and the sidewalls are comprised of s. Highs & Lows' scales logo is stamped in silver on both heels. The model's eye stays are lined with silver eyelets and black, waxed laces are a good addition. The midsoles feature the same style seen on the recent WTAPS releases with the pure white on the bottom and black above where the foxing stripe would be.



The Sk8 Hi LX comes with a tonal black colorway from the midsole to the ankle collar. There's oily, all black premium leather covers the vamp and heel counters while the quarters make use of the same ballistic mesh seen on the Old Skool, but this time, it is printed with repeat logo pattern. Both pairs have clear outsoles through which alternating "HIGHS" and "LOWS" branding can be seen. The lining of both pairs is also the same, though we're not sure what it is.


The Vault by Vans x Highs & Lows Old Skool Zip and Sk8 Hi LX will be available this Saturday, September 17th at Vault retailers like Sneakersnstuff. Check your local for availability.

Just in case you missed the 50th-anniversary classics release back in March, don't fret because Vans is set to release a new set of 50th-anniversary shoes.

Christian Hosoi combined raw power, style, and a larger-than-life persona in this double checkerboard Sk8-Hi Pro ’83 that recreates an iconic early colorway of the Sk8-Hi that came to be known as the quintessential skate shoe of the ’80s.

Also, Eddie Fiola, a famous BMX rider's Era Pro ’83 goes retro in red, white and blue —just like Eddie wore in his famous Vans ad.

Dennis McCoy's Sk8-Hi Pro ’86 has been retroed as well, featuring its most iconic colorway from the ’80s

From the Santa Cruz team in the ’80s to Black Label in the ’90s and AntiHero today, Jeff Grosso bleeds skateboarding. Jeff’s custom black & white two-tone Sk8-Hi is reproduced with modernized Pro construction as the Sk8-Hi Pro ’87.

All of these models will feature extensive update for tech and comfort including the new one-piece DuraCap toe bumpers and UltraCush HD insoles.

The Vans 50th Anniversary Pro Classics - Wave 2 collection is now available from the BLENDS brother core-skate shop BTNC. Check your local Vans stockists for availability. The pairs will set you back $70 for the Era Pro '83 and $75 for each Sk8 Hi.

Blends has collaborated with Vans Vault to recreate the classic Sk8-Hi model once again with their fifth installment of the duo’s signature ‘Bone Jazz-Stripe’ series. It looks very similar to the original model that released in 2013, with a rich dark-blue “Peacoat” premium leather upper.

The Blends x Vans Vault Sk8-Hi Reissue Zip “Peacoat” sports a modest balance of black detailing found throughout the upper, from the heel zipper, the midsole foxing, the flat waxed shoe strings, and “Bone” shaped Jazz Stripe atop Vans’ iconic waffle sole.

The “Peacoat” Blends x Vans Vault Sk8-Hi Reissue Zip LX will be available in very limited quantities on May 7th at BlendsUS.com and Blends’ retail locations.

Steven Alan designers have teamed up with Vault to produce a fresh looking Sk8 Hi and Style 36 LX OG with a material we don't see in use too much these days: corduroy. Sidewalls of both models are draped in a dark blue corduroy while the rest is blocked in a premium black suede. The Sk8 Hi opts for the tonal black midsole while the 36 keeps it white and clean. Dual branding on the sock liners and a custom box finish off the pair.

The Steven Alan x Vans Vault Style 36 and Sk8 Hi LX OG "Corduroy" is available in very limited sizes from StevenAlan.com now but many of them are already gone.

Most of you guys you may already be aware, that the "Pirate Black" is quite the popular colorway for the upcoming season. Even Kanye can attest that this is something to snatch up. Vans has hopped on the bandwagon with their newest Vault line which includes this leather and nubuck Sk8 Hi OG LX. The pair features premium leather toe caps and heel counter with the buttery nubuck side walls we have come to love from this year's OG packs. The tumbled leather jazz stripe breaks up the tonal blocking while the stripeless foxing and, the red Originals tab rounds out the Vans Vault Sk8 Hi LX OG "Pirate Black" pair. $110.

We have all been waiting patiently for Vans to announce what they their plan was for their upcoming Golden Jubilee. In case you haven't been paying attention, our beloved brand is turning 50 next year. And it looks like they are pulling out the stops. We are happy to bring you a peek at the Vans Pro Classics line that will consist of the most iconic classics from milestone eras and pro skaters, all with upgraded tech for comfort and skate. Here is what we are so excited about.

Duke Kahanamoku helped spread surfing throughout the world. This Hawaiian surf legend, actor, and five-time Olympic medalist handed Vans founder, Paul Van Doren, the shirt off his back to make custom shoes. The Authentic Pro ’66 celebrates Duke’s iconic Aloha print and his legendary meeting with Paul Van Doren.

As one of the original members of the ’70s Z Boys skateboard team, Peggy Oki revolutionized the sport alongside other skate pioneers, including Stacy Peralta and Tony Alva. The Authentic Pro ’74 commemorates the Zephyr team’s explosion into the skateboard scene at the 1974 Del Mar Classic.

An original Z-Boy, filmmaker, and co-founder of Powell Peralta Skateboards, Stacy Peralta brought his skate expertise into the design of Vans’ classic Era style in 1976. The Era Pro ’76 combines next generation function with the classic style of the first-ever Vans “Off the Wall” shoe.

Proving that fashion and function can work together, Geoff Rowley’s first Vans signature shoe emphasized grip and boardfeel, allowing him to go full throttle while staying in complete control as one of the most influential skateboarders of all time. The Rowley Pro ’00 is reinvented with Pro functionality in the original all-black colorway.
