Skate Shoes PH is struggling to keep up with the news and our wallets are struggling to keep up with these awesome Vans releases lately. Next up is something from down under. Perth, Australia's Highs & Lows has a history of releasing highly coveted collaborations and now they are turning their heat onto Vault line.

They chose the Old Skool Zip LX as their base model and transformed it into a sick pair with full grain leather on the vamps and heel counters, and the sidewalls are comprised of s. Highs & Lows' scales logo is stamped in silver on both heels. The model's eye stays are lined with silver eyelets and black, waxed laces are a good addition. The midsoles feature the same style seen on the recent WTAPS releases with the pure white on the bottom and black above where the foxing stripe would be.



The Sk8 Hi LX comes with a tonal black colorway from the midsole to the ankle collar. There's oily, all black premium leather covers the vamp and heel counters while the quarters make use of the same ballistic mesh seen on the Old Skool, but this time, it is printed with repeat logo pattern. Both pairs have clear outsoles through which alternating "HIGHS" and "LOWS" branding can be seen. The lining of both pairs is also the same, though we're not sure what it is.


The Vault by Vans x Highs & Lows Old Skool Zip and Sk8 Hi LX will be available this Saturday, September 17th at Vault retailers like Sneakersnstuff. Check your local for availability.

Blends just announced their next collaboration project with Vans Vault to recreate the classic Sk8-Hi model once again with their fifth installment of the 'Bone Jazz-Stripe' series. A close similarity to the original model that released three years ago,these feature a rich dark-blue ‘Peacoat’ premium leather upper with a modest balance of black detailing found throughout the shoe, from the heel zipper, the midsole foxing, the flat waxed shoe strings, and "Bone" shaped Jazz-Stripe atop Vans’ iconic waffle sole performance technology. 

The ‘Peacoat’ Blends x Vans Vault Sk8-Hi Reissue Zip LX will be available this Saturday, May 7th, at Blendsus.com (9 AM PST) and at all Blends locations on a first come first serve basis.

The Blends x Vans Vault Sk8-Hi Reissue Zip “Peacoat” sports a modest balance of black detailing found throughout the upper, from the heel zipper, the midsole foxing, the flat waxed shoe strings, and “Bone” shaped Jazz Stripe atop Vans’ iconic waffle sole.

The “Peacoat” Blends x Vans Vault Sk8-Hi Reissue Zip LX will be available in very limited quantities on May 7th at BlendsUS.com and Blends’ retail locations.

We have seen quite a few animal print on Vans shoes lately, and the latest is this Leopard Pony hair slip-on with a high fashion spin.

Called Vans Vault OG Slip-on 59 LX Premium Leather Pony Hair Leopard, this animal printed shoe is made with cowhide leather that the hair hasn’t been removed from. Treated to a glossy sheen, and dyed to the designers specifications, using pony hair in place of traditional leather makes an impactful fashion statement.

The OG Slip On 59 features a leopard and pony patterns. If the traditional canvas models are an all-ages show, think of the Vans Vault interpretations as VIP. If a size is not listed, it is sold out. $100.

Ron English is known as one of the most prolific and renowned street artists of all time. In fact, he has been called “The Godfather of Street Art” credited with using graffiti as an intricate and decorative form of visual expression, which often times became thought pieces and roused dialogue for viewers. When it came time to collab for our second UBIQ X Vault by Vans project, it was an easy choice to partner with Ron English. His robust and prolific portfolio was the perfect match for this special venture. Using two classic Vans styles, the Era and Sk8 Hi, Ron's Camo Deer motif is infused into the design, featuring the forest animal sporting the very pattern designed to hunt them. $40.

Opening Ceremony and Vans Vault have collaborated once again to bring us these four new exclusive colorways of the Sk8 Hi and Old Skool LX. You can now take your choice of a tonal, all beige mock-up, or a white upper with gum sole. Dual branded sock liners finish these latest collab models off.

The Opening Ceremony x Vans Vault Sk8 Hi and Old Skool LX are available now exclusively from Opening Ceremony, both in-store and online with prices ranging from $100-120.

Known for his high-end sneaker designs and attention to detail, designer Taka Hayashi has collaborated with Vans’ premium Vault by Vans label for a unique collection this season. A custom Pendleton Wool blanket is the main materials used for this capsule and holds vibrant tones and Southwestern-styled motifs inspired by Hayashi’s paintings. Matching TH Slip-On LX and TH Sk8 Huarache LX models are hand-cut, hand-stitched and handcrafted from the same beautiful fabrics, so no pairs are the same.

With a moccasin-inspired aesthetic, leather trims and embossed midsoles, this is one of the TH Slip-On LX’s most premium iterations to date. The TH Sk8 Huarache LX is a new Sk8-Hi silhouette reimagined by Hayashi that features a gray suede exterior at the front with patterned quarter panels and an embellished, laser-etched heel counter. The Pendleton x Taka Hayashi x Vault by Vans capsule collection is scheduled to drop on November 28 with a price range of $120-285 USD at Vans stockists including Barneys, Bodega, Boon The Shop, Colette, Dover Street Market, Gravity Pope, Hanon Shop, J2 Sneakerbox, Juice, KITH, Naked, Off The Hook, Sneakersnstuff, Undefeated and Wish ATL.

Steven Alan designers have teamed up with Vault to produce a fresh looking Sk8 Hi and Style 36 LX OG with a material we don't see in use too much these days: corduroy. Sidewalls of both models are draped in a dark blue corduroy while the rest is blocked in a premium black suede. The Sk8 Hi opts for the tonal black midsole while the 36 keeps it white and clean. Dual branding on the sock liners and a custom box finish off the pair.

The Steven Alan x Vans Vault Style 36 and Sk8 Hi LX OG "Corduroy" is available in very limited sizes from StevenAlan.com now but many of them are already gone.

Most of you guys you may already be aware, that the "Pirate Black" is quite the popular colorway for the upcoming season. Even Kanye can attest that this is something to snatch up. Vans has hopped on the bandwagon with their newest Vault line which includes this leather and nubuck Sk8 Hi OG LX. The pair features premium leather toe caps and heel counter with the buttery nubuck side walls we have come to love from this year's OG packs. The tumbled leather jazz stripe breaks up the tonal blocking while the stripeless foxing and, the red Originals tab rounds out the Vans Vault Sk8 Hi LX OG "Pirate Black" pair. $110.

Vans, a famous skate shoe brand has managed to infiltrate all shoe rotations - I guess this is due to their inexpensive price-tag. But would you spend $300 on a pair of Vans Eras? Vans Vault has collaborated with Diemme to present us with these two colorways of the Era LX that are handmade in Italy and cost roughly 7x that of the normal SRP of the classic lace-up skate shoe. If you have the greens and in the look out for supreme craftmanship and a go-with-anything design then you can get your pair over at Bows and Arrows.
