I am not sure why these Hey Dude shoes are trending - they look trash IMO. Anyway, The December 15 release of the Concepts x Nike SB Lobster Dunks will surely meet large crowd of eager sneakerheads and obvious resellers.

The overall design is somewhat the same as the original, they just have different color schemes. This year, we'll get the Purple Lobster, Green Lobster, and the yet-to-be-announced Orange Lobster, but is set to be an-in store only release — much like Diamond Supply Co recently did with their three-pack of SBs in November.

I have not seen these shoes in person yet, but hopefully the uppers are made of a super buttery leather and I won’t be disappointed with its overall quality and construction.

Nike SB Orange Lobster (LOL, I just made this up :))

Concepts has a lot of dope collabs out there, and the 2018 Lobsters Collection is one of them! If you are a fan of SB’s and the original lobster dunks, you'd definitely have to own a pair of these. A piece of advice – take the bands off and leave them off, otherwise they can mark the shoes when in storage and will mess your shoes up if you walk in them.

By the way, the Purple lobster is now posted as "coming soon" @Tactics. You might want to bookmark this link, they are priced at $99.95.

"Orange Lobster SB Dunk Low is just a Rumor"

UPDATE: December 14, 2018

The "Green Lobster" Concepts x Nike SB Dunk Low received a surprise drop this morning at the Shanghai release of the collaboration. Concepts creative director Deon Point also shared an on-foot look at the limited pair complete with a vibrant set of pink laces.

5 years ago, the "Concord" edition of the Nike Dunk Low Pro SB was released. Inspired by the original Air Jordan XI colorway, it features a white nylon and black patent leather upper and the classic icy clear sole. These are hard to find these days, but don't fret, as you can get a brand new pair for only 7.5k over at Shoepremacy IMO the price is decent, as these cost 200+ USD @resellers in the U.S.

The Stefan Janoski shred sneak gets a re-up here at Skate Shoes PH in a tight blue denim dressing. That Zoom vulc sole remains so you know the skate technology is taken care of, it's all up to you to get your fashion game going.

Saw these on Shoepremacy selling for 6.9K which is kind of a good deal as these cost around $90 in the U.S.

Supreme has released its Air Force 1 Low collaboration with Comme des Garçons two weeks ago. It features unique details like a split Swoosh and co-branding stamped on the heel. The Comme des Garçons x Supreme x Nike Air Force 1 Lows are hard to find these days - you'd probably get them at resell prices on eBay or StockX.

Vans The Metallic Twill Sk8-Hi Reissue, the legendary Vans high top reissued with a vintage sensibility, features sturdy textile and suede uppers, re-enforced toecaps to withstand repeated wear, padded collars for support and flexibility, and signature rubber waffle outsoles. \

The look of these shoes are retro and modern at the same time. They look awesome with shorts or slim fit pants. I highly recommend trying these shoes! Available in Port Royale and Spruce Colorways. $70.

Acting as a foil to the Dunk High Breds, this Air Force 2 Low “Foamposite” represents another NBA great, Penny Hardaway, whose iconic blue Air Foamposite One is echoed in the SB silhouette’s “International Blue” upper, white midsole and icy translucent outsole.

This Nike SB Air Force 2 Low “Foamposite” is now available for $100 USD at Nike’s web store and select Nike SB retailers such as The Berrics.

The ultra-limited canary yellow version was initially meant to drop at ComplexCon on November 3, however this release was cancelled due to crowd concerns. If you have the greens, you can buy your pair on eBay or StockX - you need to shell out some serious cash though.

If you want to try your luck, you can buy a Diamond Supply mystery box for 100$. Simply, buy a box of your size shoe, then pray to get one of the Nike SB Canary Diamonds!

Inspired by the Air Jordan 11s, this shoe combines the skate performance of the dunks with classic hoops style. The cupsole construction in combination with Zoom Air technology provides impact protection and support, while the flexible rubber outsole with a circular tread pattern gives you excellent multi-directional grip. The padded collar and tongue gives your ankles some protection from flailing skateboards and give you a secure fit.

The Nike SB Dunk High “Bred” will release on November 21 for $110 USD at Nike’s web store and select Nike SB retailers.

For more upcoming releases, CNCPTS is slated to drop a Nike SB Dunk Low “Purple Lobster” next month.

A month ago, Diamond Supply Co. founder Nick Tershay (aka Nicky Diamonds) confirmed that the Nike SB Dunks  X Diamond Supply Co. 'Tiffany' 2018 is coming this year. Shortly thereafter, he teased us with a previously black SB Dunk Low. Now, it seems that there could be even more in the works.

Tershay's teased us with a white Nike SB Dunk Low that has overlays that can be found on the "Tiffany" Dunks. Unique to this version is a Velcro Swoosh, which reveals a "Tiffany" blue shade underneath. It also comes with metal Diamond-branded aglets and what appears to be an icy translucent sole.

There had been rumors also that a Yellow version will also be released in Complexcon, followed by the black and white versions a few days later.  Complexcon is a recurring music festival that will be held in Long Beach, California, USA, on November 3-4, 2018. If the rumors are to be believed, will be seeing the Nike SB Dunks  X Diamond Supply Co. 'Tiffany' 2018 Black and White versions on the 2nd or 3rd week of November, 2018.

UPDATE:

Check out the complete Nike SB X Diamond 2018 Pack! And yes, there will be a Yellow SB X Diamond version. And just like the white and black versions that have already been revealed, it comes with the same removable silver Swoosh with an aqua blue underlayer will be part of the total package. A release date has yet to be revealed for this version, but the GR (black version) is said to be released on November 10, 2018. Keep it locked for updates as we have them, and stay tuned for official drop dates for all these three colors.

Update: 11/05/2018

Nike SB Dunks  X Diamond Supply Co. 'Tiffany' 2018 Release Date - November 10, 2018 (Confirmed)

See the photo I got @Tactics!

Years ago, most shoe releases were word-of-mouth. It was hard to stay up-to-date on what was dropping when as you had to know someone, or who knew someone, or be tuned in to message boards. It was hard to stay up-to-date on what was dropping when as you had to know someone, or who knew someone, or be tuned in to message boards. Way back in 2003, a cult-favorite skater collab was released known as the “Takashi” Dunks. This shoe features a stately black/gold color combo and was created in collaboration with pro skater Takashi Hosokawa.

Now 15 years later, Nike retroed the SB Dunk Low (sort of - the outsole is a bit different, heel tab color, swoosh color, not that fat tongue) and is now available at shoe retailers like Premier, and the appearance of official images indicates that they’ll be arriving on Nike.com soon as well. $90.

Yup, even Vans can't avoid the "Dad's Shoe" trend. Even though Vans is known for marching to the beat of its own drum; just this year they retroed the Varix WC that's inspired by Vans tech skate silhouettes of the late '90s and early 00's with a few modern updates including a Wafflecup bottom and comfortable UltraCush Lite drop-in sockline.

Varix WC comes with a multi-paneled upper that is intricate and eye-catching, and features enough colors at least nine, by my count) to make even the most outlandish versions of Balenciaga’s Triple S look toned down. $100.

Vans' signature Slip-On receives an awesome makeover as the Slip-On Skulls Black and White Skate Shoes. It features custom skull graphics printed across canvas upper for that edgy eye-catching appeal. The rest of the shoe embodies all the classic slip-on details including a vulcanized construction for board feel and the brand's iconic waffle tread for grip. $55.

The Campus first made its name way back in the '80s when it found a high-profile place in the world of hip hop. This shoe has been reissued to pay homage to a well known skateboarder, film-maker, and visual artist - Brian Lotti.

Made from premium suede in collegiate navy, these Adidas Campus 80s RYR x Brian Lotti shoes feature long-lasting durability and style that never stops. Part of the Respect Your Roots collection, they feature custom artwork by skate patriarch Brian Lotti on the tongue label and insoles. $80.

Here's some of the reasons why skate boarding is underrated here in the Philippines.

Skateparks

Aside from the poor quality of our roads here, we don't have that much skate parks. This is the reason why skaters skate in public places, which annoys most people.

Well, we can't blame these kids, because there are only a few skate parks here in the Philippines. Why? Simply because our government does not support skateboarding that much.

Although Mayor Erap Estrada has made two public parks (Vitas and MSP), the majority of the public officials here would prefer to create more basketball courts.

Skating Gear

This is what's been bugging me really. Although you can get decks at a reasonable price 1000 pesos at some local skateshops, shoes are the WORST part about it.

It's difficult to buy quality skate shoes here without paying above 2000 php ($50). Sure, you can buy cheap skate shoes but most of them are made of canvas that don't have the quality support and will wear out really fast. Decent ones (that have good material and support) like Globe, Emerica G6s, Etnies, Nike SBs, Converse Cons and éS are expensive. Skate gear is tough to bargain for in the Philippines.

Culture

Some skaters here aren't that nice to skate with. This is just my opinion. I hear them say "hugots" and "boom panes" being repeated over and over which for me is kind of annoying. It's challenging to find those who are nice, but once you do, it will be much more fun and beneficial towards continuing skate boarding.

Discrimination

Skateboarders here are kind of "taboo". Being labeled as a skateboarder has a special type of discrimination. "Dugyot" or Dirty looking - well, we can't blame these people for seeing us that way because of the tropical weather we have and honestly, there are some skaters that are ill - mannered. These maybe the reasons why majority of the Filipinos find it hard to understand the spirit of skateboarding.

What we can do?

Well, it has to be a collaborative effort. We can't just whine and expect our government to provide as skate parks. We got to show them what our passion is all about, the right way, and for sure they will listen.

As for us, we are raising funds to buy skate shoes, skateboards, ramps, and equipment for skateboarding.

Right now, there are some kids that don't have skateboards, shoes, or a place to go to ride their skateboards.  With your help, we can make a safe and fun place for our youth to skate.
